Specifically, the National Commission for the Financial Market (NCFM) is warning about attempts at online fraud using fake investment platforms that use the names and images of authorized organizations and certain public figures to create a sense of legitimacy. Fraudsters use sponsored advertising on social media (Facebook, Instagram), promising unrealistic profits. They misuse the logo, colors, and names of companies authorized by the NCFM to deceive users, and use fake images or videos (deepfakes) of public figures who "recommend" the platform.
