Over 58.9 million lei were invested in the purchase of government bonds via the eVMS.md platform during the first five days of the new subscription period in April
As reported by the Ministry of Finance, during the first 5 days of the subscription period, which ran from April 13 to 22, the total volume of investments in government bonds made through the eVMS.md platform amounted to 58 million 913.1 thousand lei. During this period, 635 transactions were carried out by 502 investors. Most of the raised funds were directed toward government bonds with a 1-year maturity (interest rate of 6.95%), which attracted investments totaling 43,357,700 lei. As part of the current subscription, in addition to bonds with a maturity of 1 year, government bonds with a maturity of 2 years (interest rate of 7.05%), government bonds with a maturity of 3 years (interest rate of 7.15%) and government bonds with a maturity of 4 years (interest rate of 7.35%) were issued. The Ministry of Finance issues government securities on a monthly basis for sale through the eVMS.md platform, providing the public with constant access to reliable savings and investment instruments. The interest rate is fixed, and payments are made every six months directly to investors’ bank accounts. According to the schedule, the next government bond subscriptions in the second quarter of 2026 are planned for May 11–20 and June 15–24, during which investors will be able to choose bonds with maturities of 1, 2, 3, or 4 years. As previously reported by InfoMarket agency, excluding data from the current subscription, Moldovan individuals have invested over 223.5 million lei in government bonds on the eVMS.md platform since the beginning of 2026, including 30.4 million lei in March. Specifically, during the third government bond subscription of the year, held from March 9 to 18, 512 citizens invested 30 million 385.3 thousand lei in government bonds on the eVMS.md platform. In total, since the beginning of 2026, three subscription rounds have been held, during which the total investment exceeded 223.5 million lei, with government bonds available with maturities of 1, 2, 3, and 4 years. During the first subscription of the year for government securities by individuals in January, citizens invested approximately 151.98 million lei in government bonds via eVMS.md; during the second, more than 41.1 million lei; and during the third, approximately 30.4 million lei. In 2025, 10 bond placements with maturities ranging from 1 to 4 years were conducted via the eVMS.md platform.
