CNPF has increased the maximum fees for services provided by registration companies
The relevant decision was approved by the Management Board of the National Financial Market Commission (CNPF). According to the press service of the agency, tariffs have not been revised since 2019, and numerous appeals from registration companies to the commission pointed to the need to adjust the maximum limits and bring them into line with current economic realities. The draft is particularly relevant for securities issuers cooperating with registration companies, as their services are mainly related to corporate activities (maintaining shareholder registers, providing information, etc.). The document also introduces clarifications, adjustments, and optimizations regarding the services provided to investors and the related fees. CNPF notes that, based on the maximum rates set by the regulator, each registration company approves its own rates, which do not exceed the pre-set maximum limits. In accordance with capital market legislation, issuers have the right to independently choose the authorized body with which they wish to cooperate to ensure the maintenance of their shareholder register. According to the draft, which has been under consultation since April this year, CNPF proposed to increase the maximum fee for each operation to block/unblock securities or personal accounts of securities owners from 3 to 50 lei, for changing owner data – from 5 to 30 lei for individuals and from 25 to 100 lei for legal entities, etc. The final document of CNPF will be published in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova). // 29.08.2025 – InfoMarket.
