The IMF mission discussed with CNPF leadership the evolution on the capital market and the draft Strategy of capital market development in Moldova

In particular, representatives of the National Financial Market Commission (CNPF) held a working meeting with the mission of the International Monetary Fund, headed by Alina Iancu, who is visiting Chisinau from October 1 to 11. According to CNPF, the discussions touched upon the developments on the capital market and in the field of financial services consumer protection, the results obtained in performing regulatory and supervisory functions, progress in the elaboration of secondary legislation to strengthen the relevant normative framework, as well as in finalizing and promoting the Capital Market Development Strategy. The meeting with IMF experts took place in the context of the 6th review of the ECF/EFF program for Moldova, financed by the IMF through the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) and the Extended Fund Facility (EFF), and the 2nd review of the program financed by the IMF through the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF). // 04.10.2024 – InfoMarket
