The state block of shares of Aqua-Prut JSC in Cahul was sold at the Stock Exchange for 4.76 million lei.

As reported by the Stock Exchange of Moldova, these are the results of the first day of the auction for the sale of publicly owned shares of the state on the regulated market. In particular, 75.504% of shares (163,962 shares) in this joint-stock company were sold at an initial price of 29.07 lei per share. The company operates in Cahul and is engaged in construction. As a reminder, auctions on the Stock Exchange will last until April 30. Blocks of shares in 15 joint-stock companies are put up for sale, the share of the state in which ranges from 30.083% to 99.637%. The total starting price of the state-owned shares offered for sale through exchange auctions exceeds 1.25 billion lei. In this round of privatization, the state's stake in JSC Metalferos (78.282%) was put up for sale. After 3 unsuccessful attempts to privatize this company in 2020, the price of one share was again reduced from 3200 to 3000 lei per share, thus, the value of the package decreased by 56.2 million lei (-6.2%) - from 899.4 million to 843.2 million lei. Once again, the state block of shares in the Rif-Acvaaparat Institute for Scientific Research in Balti (92.908%) was put up for privatization: the cost of one share was reduced from 52 to 45 lei, and the initial cost of the object - from 18.55 million to 16.06 million lei (-13.4%). Also, the sale price of JSC Alimentarmaș, which is in the process of insolvency, was reduced from 5.49 million to 4.41 million lei (the state's share is 30.083%). The state block of shares (60.179%) of shares in Chisinău hotel has been put up for privatization again. The initial selling price did not change and amounts to 5.34 lei per share (1.55 million lei). In addition, the state's shares in 10 enterprises for the repair and maintenance of roads have been put up for privatization; the blocks of shares are sold at a price of 27.6 million to 54.26 million lei. The total initial cost of these objects has also slightly decreased (by about 3 million lei) compared to the previous price and amounts to more than 382 million lei.
