More than 19.8 thousand applicants have submitted documents for admission to Moldova’s universities, with the most sought-after specialties being in the fields of economics, law, and medicine
These figures were provided by the Ministry of Education and Research following the main session, which took place from July 21 to 28. In total, applicants submitted 21 thousand applications to universities in the country, of which 15 thousand were for bachelor's programs and 5.3 thousand for master's programs. The most popular fields of study remain economics, law and medicine/healthcare, engineering, pedagogy, information technology and communications, social sciences, and art. Most of the applicants were from Chisinau, Balti, Orhei, Gagauzia, Straseni, and Ungheni. A notable feature of this year's admissions is the presence of older applicants: the oldest applicant for a bachelor's degree is 75 years old, and the oldest applicant for a master's degree is 65 years old. The interim results will be announced on August 5, and the final results - on August 12. An additional session will be held from August 13 to 15, with the results announced on August 24. // 29.07.2025 — InfoMarket
