According to the Mayor's Office, from January to June, 5 residents of the capital who were 100 years old or more received 5 thousand lei each from the municipality: 3 centenarians, as well as one 101-year-old and one 105-year-old. At the same time, 193 long-living couples who celebrated their marriage anniversary also received support: 170 couples celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and received 5,700 lei per family, 21 couples celebrated their 60th anniversary (7,500 lei) and 2 couples celebrated their 70th anniversary of life together (10,000 lei). The Mayor's Office allocated 1 million 146 thousand lei for these purposes.
