
From August 1, the list of reimbursed drugs in Moldova will be supplemented with new drugs for the treatment of psoriasis, systemic lupus erythematosus and glaucoma.
According to the Ministry of Health, in accordance with the decision of the Council on Reimbursed Medicines, people suffering from psoriasis will be reimbursed from compulsory medical insurance funds for up to 80% of the cost of betamethasone dipropionate ointment with salicylic acid. Also, sodium chloride, pentoxifylline, diclofenac and nimesulide will be partially compensated for episodic outpatient treatment of psoriasis. Adults with systemic lupus erythematosus (an autoimmune rheumatological disease) in outpatient treatment will be partially compensated for three non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - meloxicam, diclofenac, nimesulide. The list of compensated drugs has also been replenished with new drugs for long-term treatment of glaucoma - full compensation of eye drops dorzolamide 20 mg / ml, pilocarpine 10 mg / ml, timolol + latanoprostum 0.05 mg / 5 mg / ml is provided. The Ministry of Health also reports that from August 1, adults and children receiving palliative care on an outpatient basis will receive ibuprofen free of charge. The cost of compensation for new medicines will amount to about 35 million lei. Indications for lercanidipine and dapagliflozin will also expand. The first drug can be prescribed for cardiovascular diseases, and the second - for all patients with diabetes mellitus. The fixed amounts reimbursed for all partially reimbursed medicines from compulsory medical insurance funds are also recalculated.
