
CNESP recommends that masks be worn in all enclosed public spaces.
The National Public Health Emergency Commission (CNESP) has approved several decisions and made recommendations to citizens in response to the increase in coronavirus cases. In particular, the Ministry of Health was instructed to update the National Plan for preparedness and response to a new type of coronavirus infection in accordance with the development of the epidemiological situation and possible scenarios; to monitor the situation; to mobilize health facilities in stages to hospitalize patients with COVID-19; to provide health facilities with the necessary drugs and medical devices to treat patients; to introduce a special regime for visiting health facilities; to promote vaccination and protection measures against coronavirus. Central and local authorities and legal entities, regardless of their form of ownership, should promote measures to protect against the coronavirus. The Commission recommended wearing masks in medical institutions, public transport, shopping malls, food and non-food stores; keeping a social distance of at least 1 meter and observing hygiene rules, ventilating rooms, and observing self-isolation in case of infection. From July 18 to 27, 5,793 cases of infection with COVID-19 were registered in Moldova, which is 72.7% more than the previous week, with 16 people dying from complications.
