Moldova is extending the implementation period of the Land Registration and Property Valuation Project until 2026
This decision was adopted by the government in order to increase the efficiency of cadastral activity in the country. It is planned that the mentioned project will ensure the completion of the primary registration of private property and works on the delimitation of real estate of state property, as well as the correction of errors made earlier in the process of transferring the ownership of land. Once this process is completed, it will allow the local and central authorities to manage the land they own more correctly, which will increase the possibilities to raise their own revenues and improve the quality of life of citizens. According to the government, the delimitation of state property has already been completed in 57 administrative-territorial units, the registration of private property - in 98 localities, and earlier mistakes have been corrected in 252 localities. The State Agency “Cadastre of Immovable Property”, which emerged as a result of the institutional reform of the Agency of Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre, is responsible for the implementation of the project. The Land Registration and Property Valuation Project is implemented within the financing agreement between Moldova and the International Development Association, a member of the World Bank Group, and was launched in 2019. Earlier it was reported that within the framework of the Land Registration and Property Valuation Project, from 2019 and until the end of 2024, it is planned to carry out cadastral works on mass primary registration of private property on about 300 thousand plots near houses and gardens, works on delimitation of 150 thousand real estate objects of state ownership, as well as correction of about 50 thousand errors made in the real estate cadastre. //25.09.2024 - InfoMarket.
