The European Union supports Moldova's transition to a circular, sustainable, and competitive economy

The Permanent Representation of the European Union in our country announced this, noting that at the national conference “The Green Transition of the Republic of Moldova: A Driver of European Integration and Sustainable Growth,” authorities, entrepreneurs, and experts discussed specific solutions to reduce waste, promote environmental responsibility, and attract investment in environmental protection. As emphasized, with EU support, Moldova is implementing ESG (environmental, social, governance) principles; promoting extended producer responsibility; and promoting a circular economy policy. “The green transition is necessary for European integration, sustainable economic growth, and a better future for all. Citizens will benefit from a cleaner environment and more environmentally friendly products,” the EU Delegation to Moldova said. Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Doina Nistor noted that more than 100 people took part in the conference. The event was organized by UNDP Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, with the support of the EU.
