NAER's appointment of a new gas supplier to Moldovan consumers will not affect the functionality of Moldovagaz - Vadim Ceban
As stated by the Acting Chairman of the Board of Moldovagaz, today's decision of the National Agency for Energy Regulation to appoint the state-owned company Energocom as a new supplier of natural gas to consumers will not affect the functionality of Moldovagaz and the social responsibility that the company's management bears to its staff. He noted that at present, the company still faces the task of ensuring an uninterrupted supply of natural gas to end consumers, as well as developing solutions to overcome the current situation. "It should be emphasized that the regulator's decision was communicated to the company's shareholders. I will inform you in a timely manner about further actions and decisions," wrote Vadim Ceban. Earlier it was reported that NAER appointed the state-owned company Energocom as a new supplier of public services for the supply of gas to consumers for a period of 3 years instead of Moldovagaz. As reported by NAER, the decision was taken on May 23 based on Articles 89 and 90 of the Law on Natural Gas in the context of the risk that Moldovagaz will no longer be able to meet its obligations to provide the aforementioned public services after July 31 due to non-compliance with the legal requirement to separate the activities of supply and transportation of natural gas. // 23.05.2025 — InfoMarket.
