
Moldova will ensure uninterrupted supplies of electricity and gas to consumers, regardless of situations that may arise due to the termination of gas transit through Ukraine - Ministry of Energy
This was stated by Energy Minister Victor Parlicov at a meeting with the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Moldova Fred Duijn. According to the Ministry of Energy, the parties discussed projects and reforms launched in the energy sector of Moldova in order to increase energy security, as well as the energy sustainability of our country. Victor Parlicov assured that Moldova is ready to ensure continuous supplies of electricity and natural gas to end consumers, regardless of situations that may arise with the expiration of the contract for the transit of natural gas through Ukraine on January 1, 2025. At the same time, he thanked the Netherlands for the assistance provided to Moldova at crucial moments of the energy crisis, offering political support, expertise and financial assistance aimed at diversifying energy sources and increasing energy security. In particular, in October 2021, Moldova made its first gas purchases on the international market with the support of the Netherlands.
