
Import of oil products to Moldova in the first quarter of 2024, compared to the same period of 2023, decreased by 1.2% - from 205.29 thousand tons to 202.86 thousand tons.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) reported that, imports of gasoline in January-March 2024, compared to the same period of the previous year, decreased by 3.1% to 42,672.1 tons, diesel fuel - decreased by 1.4% to 146,463.02 tons, and liquefied gas - increased by 7.3% to 13,723.44 tons. According to ANRE data, at the end of Q1 2024, 42 companies held licenses to import and wholesale gasoline and diesel fuel (33 at the end of Q1 of the previous year), and 16 companies held licenses to import and wholesale liquefied gas (14 at the end of Q1 of the previous year). Retail sales of gasoline and diesel fuel at the end of Q1 2024 were handled by 78 license holders (at the same period of the previous year -78) and liquefied gas by 69 license holders (in the same period of the previous year - 74). Overall, 205 petroleum products license holders were present in the market at the end of Q1 2024 (199 at the end of the same period of the previous year). In January-March 2024, ANRE issued a total of 9 licenses to operate on the petroleum products market, including 5 licenses renewed for the next 5 years. According to ANRE data, at the end of the first quarter of 2024, there were 584 certified gas stations operating in the country (645 a year earlier), of which 432 sell all three types of fuel (489), 113 sell only gasoline and diesel (112), and 39 sell only liquefied gas (44). // 24.05.2024 - InfoMarket.
