Moldovagaz plans to reduce the gas tariff for household consumers by 8.9% - to 12.2 lei per 1 cubic meter, excluding VAT.
This follows from the calculations submitted by Moldovagaz to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRER) in its request for revision of the tariff for natural gas supply to end consumers at regulated prices in 2024. According to Vadim Ceban, Chairman of the Board of Moldovagaz, the average weighted tariff for natural gas supply is proposed to be reduced to 10095 lei per 1,000 cubic meters (-9.3%). According to him, the main factors that led to the need to revise the tariffs were a significant drop in the purchase prices for natural gas on the TTF platform and a significant decrease in the volume of natural gas sales to consumers. According to the request, the new tariff at the entry points to the gas transportation networks should amount to 7716 lei per 1,000 cubic meters, which is 13.6% less than the current one, while at the exit points from the gas transportation networks the new tariff will amount to 7801 lei per 1,000 cubic meters (-13.5% against the current one). At the same time, at the exit points of high-pressure gas distribution networks it is proposed to be set at the level of 7915 lei per 1,000 cubic meters (-13.3%), of medium pressure - 8917 lei per 1,000 cubic meters (-11.5%), and in case of low-pressure networks, to which all household and part of non-household consumers are connected - 12200 lei per 1,000 cubic meters (-8.9%). The draft tariff for natural gas supply to end consumers at regulated prices for 2024 is formed in strict compliance with the legislation and will cover the cost of gas purchase, which will ensure the fulfillment of contractual payment obligations to the supplier. The tariff for natural gas at regulated prices is approved by ANRE in a public meeting. // 26.04.2024 - InfoMarket.
