As InfoMarket was informed by the National Agency for Energy Regulation, at the same time, in value terms, the volume of gas purchases in January-September 2021, compared to the same period of the previous year, increased by 33.1% - from 2 billion 049.5 million to 2 billion 728 million lei. Herewith, the purchase price of gas in lei terms increased over the year by 13.8% - from 3029 lei (excluding VAT) per 1,000 cubic meters in 9 months 2020 to 3447 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters in 9 months 2021. According to NAER, in January-September 2021, in comparison with the same period in 2020, the volume of gas supplies to the end consumers of the country in physical terms increased by 23.5% - up to 819.1 million cubic meters, and in value terms - increased by 4.9% - up to 3 billion 260.6 million lei. Meanwhile, the tariff for consumers decreased on average by 15% - from 4686 to 3981 lei per 1,000 cubic meters. According to NAER, in particular, the population for 9 months 2021, in comparison with the same period of the previous years, increased gas consumption in physical terms by 32.3% - from 238.2 million to 315.2 million cubic meters, and in monetary terms, the indicator increased by 17.8% - from 1 billion 242.3 million to 1 billion 463.1 million lei. Energy sector enterprises in January-September 2021 used 271.6 million cubic meters of gas for 989.4 million lei. At the same time, in comparison with the same period of the previous year, their gas consumption for 9 months 2021 in physical terms increased by 17.5%, and in monetary terms - decreased by 1.3%. Gas consumption by budgetary institutions increased by 43.5% in physical terms, but decreased by 1.6% in monetary terms. They used 33.9 million cubic meters of gas in January-September 2021 for 118.8 million lei.
