
The volume of natural gas consumption in Moldova in October 2020 amounted to 57.1 million cubic meters, which is 9.5% lower than the indicators of the same period in 2019.
At the same time, as reported by the Moldovagaz press service, this figure increased by 23.9 million cubic meters compared to September this year (+ 72%). Household consumers paid 99% of their invoices as of October 31, 2020, 0.3 percentage points below the same period last year. In the case of non-household consumers (legal entities), the share of payments reached 99.2%, with a decrease of 0.4 percentage points. The level of payment for the enterprises of the country's thermal power sector was 100%, which is identical to the indicators of October 2019. During the reporting period, 134 points of consumption were disconnected from the network, the owners of which owed the supplier 940 thousand lei. At the same time, advance payments were made to 81 consumers due to the earlier suspension of supplies for non-payment of consumed natural gas on time.
