
Moldova and the UAE intend to expand trade, economic and investment cooperation and open a UAE embassy in Chisinau
This was stated during a meeting held in Dubai between Moldovan Foreign Minister Mihai Popşoi and UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During the meeting, the officials discussed the development of the Moldovan-Emirati relations in different cooperation fields, with a focus on economic partnership, attraction of investments and expansion of trade. An important topic of the meeting was the completion of the internal procedures for signing an agreement on the recognition and conversion of Moldovan driving licenses. The document is to be signed in Chisinau or Abu Dhabi in the near future. They also discussed the possibility of opening a UAE embassy in Chisinau, which would contribute to diplomatic and economic cooperation between the two states.
