
Moldova and Israel will expand cooperation in agriculture, innovations, renewable energy sources, pharmaceuticals
This was said during a meeting held by Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Moshe Saar. The sides discussed the fields in which the two countries' cooperation can be enhanced: agriculture, technological innovations, renewable energy sources, pharmaceuticals, as well as the expansion of trade. In this context, the sides approved the resumption of the activity of a joint Moldovan-Israeli intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation, which will contribute to the implementation of joint projects. It was emphasized that Moldova and Israel will cooperate in the security field, including cyber security. “Both states are located in vulnerable regions and we have a lot to learn from each other,” Gideon Moshe Saar said. Dorin Recean welcomed the opening of the Israeli embassy in Moldova, noting that it shows a mutual commitment to deepen cooperation between the two states.
