Moldova and Saudi Arabia intend to expand trade and economic cooperation and sign a number of documents to facilitate it

Foreign Minister Mihai Popşoi stated this during a meeting held with Saudi Ambassador to Moldova with residence in Bucharest Mohammed Abdulghani Khayat. The officials discussed priority issues on the bilateral agenda, noting the positive dynamics of cooperation in the fields of mutual interest, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry said. The officials also exchanged opinions on the international situation and internal political events in both states. The emphasis was placed on strengthening the political and diplomatic dialog and identifying opportunities for boosting trade and economic cooperation. In this regard, the interest of both sides in expanding the bilateral legal framework was expressed, as well as the need to finalize negotiations on draft treaties on the bilateral agenda and internal procedures for their entry into force.
