General local elections will be held in Moldova on November 5.

The date of the general local elections was approved by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) at a meeting on June 4. This decision will take effect on August 7, when the election period officially begins. The election campaign will begin after the registration of candidates, but not earlier than 30 days before the date of the elections. In the near future, the CEC will develop and approve a calendar of events for the organization and conduct of general local elections. According to the CEC, 3 million 299,973 eligible voters are registered in the State Voter Register, of which 2 million 768,816 citizens are registered in the administrative territorial units of II level.
