Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Eugen Osmochescu stated this while speaking at the Next Industry Forum in Cluj-Napoca, where he participated in a panel discussion with experts and industry leaders on key topics for the future of the economy. Discussions focused on technologies and products in the fields of defense, cybersecurity, and digital transformation—areas that are becoming increasingly important in the current regional and global context and directly impact the economic competitiveness, innovative potential, and sustainability of our nations. Eugen Osmochescu noted that developing a modern economy based on innovation and digitalization remains a priority for Moldova. “We aim to support high-value-added industries, accelerate digital transformation, and create a favorable environment for investment and technological development. Strengthening cybersecurity and leveraging new technologies are crucial for addressing contemporary challenges and ensuring sustainable growth,” said the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization. According to him, the forum highlighted how these areas will shape the future and emphasized the importance of regional cooperation. Eugen Osmochescu announced that the 3rd Moldova Cybersecurity Forum will take place in Chisinau on May 12–13, bringing together experts to discuss regional cybersecurity and the European ecosystem as a natural continuation of the dialogue initiated here.
