From January 1, 2026, Moldova will have access to funding in the field of culture and creativity under the EU's Creative Europe program, with a total budget of €2.4 billion

In particular, this is provided for by a draft law on the ratification of the Agreement between Moldova and the European Union on our country's participation in the Creative Europe program, which is designed for the fields of culture and creativity. The document was signed in Chisinau on September 2, 2025, and provides that from January 1, 2026, artists and other cultural professionals will have access to broader opportunities for funding and international cooperation. Moldova will gain access to European funding for cultural projects, will be able to participate in international events and cooperation projects, and young creative people will have the opportunity to develop new skills in the field of art and culture. In addition, the Creative Europe program will promote the mobility of artists and the exchange of experience between professionals from different countries, thereby contributing to the competitiveness and visibility of cultural sectors. This partnership will also mean the diversification of cultural offerings in the country through the organization of events, exhibitions, film screenings, and performances. The program will also support the development of creative industries, contributing to job creation and stimulating the local economy. “This year, the European Union is allocating €380 million to such projects, in which representatives of Moldova's cultural sector can participate. In this regard, I call on the entire cultural community to take part in this program,” said Minister of Culture Cristian Jardan. The Creative Europe program (2021-2027) is the European Union's main instrument for supporting the cultural and creative sectors, with a total budget of around €2.4 billion. // 26.11.2025 – InfoMarket.
