Prime Minister said this at the opening of the Benelux-Moldova Business Forum in Chisinau. He said that, as a candidate state for EU accession, Moldova will implement a 1.9-billion-euro Economic Growth Plan. “For the first time, we are moving in a positive direction, according to Fitch's rating in the B+ group with a stable outlook, and we have growth potential in IT, agriculture, health and electronics. More than 30 companies from the Benelux region, representatives of the government and enterprises, Moldovan companies are participating in the forum. They will discuss trade and investment opportunities, as well as the expansion of cooperation. The representatives of Benelux companies will discover Moldova as a potential destination for expansion and growth; will learn about the country's business environment and ambitious program of economic reforms in the light of its aspirations for EU accession. The focus will be on Moldova's role in the “Rebuild Ukraine” initiative, with discussions on Moldova's potential role in the region's reconstruction efforts. There will be industry (sectoral) discussions led by industry leaders and government representatives to discuss new trends in Moldova's growing sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, services, energy, infrastructure and real estate. The forum participants will also meet Benelux entrepreneurs who are already operating in Moldova and will get information from them about the investment climate, challenges and opportunities of doing business in and with Moldova.
