Moldova is developing a Program for the Development of Economic Diplomacy for 2025-2029

This document is being prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Investment Agency, and its provisions were reviewed during the annual economic diplomacy courses held by these institutions, aimed at promoting Moldova's economic interests. According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, the economic diplomacy course, which was held in online format, gathered more than 60 participants, including representatives of trade and economic bureaus and representatives of Moldovan diplomatic missions and consular institutions. State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization Cristina Ceban spoke about the importance of diplomacy in strengthening international economic relations and promoting the country's economic image. It was noted that these courses are an important platform for the development of Moldovan diplomats' professional skills in attracting foreign direct investments, promoting exports, as well as promoting Moldova as an attractive tourist destination. The topics on the agenda were aimed at deepening the diplomats' knowledge in a dynamic global economic context. An important aspect of the training was the analysis of key strategic documents, such as the National Investment and Export Promotion Program for 2024-2028 and the Industry Development Strategy of Moldova. In addition, the topics reflected in the draft Economic Diplomacy Development Program for 2025-2029, which is being elaborated by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Investment Agency, were discussed. Thanks to this information, diplomats have gained a clear understanding of the country's economic priorities and will use these tools to strengthen international economic relations and achieve the goals of economic diplomacy. Important topics on investment attraction and international economic cooperation were presented by specialists from the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization.
