The EU will increase the size of the grant from 8.4 million to 10.8 million euros to strengthen the rule of law and anti-corruption mechanisms in Moldova.

This is provided for by the corresponding amendments to the Financing Agreement between the Government of Moldova and the European Commission, the signing of which was approved on Wednesday by the Cabinet of Ministers and the relevant parliamentary commission on foreign policy and European integration. In addition, according to the changes being made, the implementation period of the agreement will be extended from 84 to 102 months from the date of entry into force of the document, and the duration of operational implementation will be extended from 60 to 78 months.
