Romania will provide Moldova with a grant of RON 50 million (EUR 10 million) for direct budget support.

Romania will provide Moldova with a grant of RON 50 million (EUR 10 million) for direct budget support.

Romanian government has approved the allocation of these funds from the reserve fund of the 2022 budget to supplement the budget of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is stipulated that these funds are intended for direct support to Moldova, in order to help it cover some urgent budgetary needs and solve the problems our country is facing. Romania played a central role in the launching of the Moldova Support Platform at the international conference in Berlin on April 5, organized by Romania, along with Germany and France, and announced then a budget support of 10 million euros for Moldova. The provision of this aid confirms Romania's essential role in ensuring Moldova's stability and development and is likely to create a multiplier effect by encouraging additional aid from Moldova's development partners. Earlier, Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu, while speaking on April 5 in Berlin at the launched Moldova Support Conference, said that Romania will provide Moldova with additional non-repayable aid - a grant of 10 million euros for budget support. // 14.07.2022 - InfoMarket
