On the Universal Day of Ia, maib employees proudly honour the tradition

On the occasion of Universal Ia Day, on June 24, maib employees have celebrated one of the most beloved holidays dedicated to Romanian cultural heritage by wearing traditional blouses and embroidered shirts at their offices and branches across the country.

Through this symbolic gesture, the maib team expressed its appreciation for the authentic values, traditions, and cultural identity that define and unite us.

Every ia tells a story. Whether painstakingly sewn, passed down from generation to generation, or reinterpreted in a contemporary style, it remains a symbol of belonging and respect for our roots.

Doina Fetco, Marketing Director at maib:

“The ia is more than just a piece of clothing; it is an expression of our identity and a bond between generations. At maib, we believe that traditions have the power to bring us closer together and remind us of who we are. We are delighted to celebrate this day together with the maib community across the country and to contribute to preserving and promoting the values that define us as a society.”

By celebrating the Universal Day of Ia, maib reaffirms the importance of authentic values and cultural heritage in community life. Such initiatives help preserve traditions and pass them on to new generations in an ever-changing world.

In the year marking its 35 years of activity, maib celebrates both the achievements and innovations that have defined its journey, as well as the people, traditions, and values that have grown alongside the bank.

For 35 years, maib has been part of Moldova’s story and continues to support initiatives that bring communities together, preserve cultural identity, and build bridges between the past, present, and future.

You drive. maib
