International Tobacco SRL – 20 Years Of Continuous Development

Twenty years ago, the tobacco factory in Orhei, International Tobacco SRL, marked a new beginning after a difficult period of survival in the harsh conditions that followed the collapse of the USSR, including the economic crises of the 1990s. With a clear development strategy, well-structured management, and the ambition to keep alive an industry that was once a pillar of Moldova’s economy, International Tobacco SRL not only endured but became one of the country’s top taxpayers, contributing approximately 325 million lei annually in taxes and duties.

Beyond its tax contributions, the company is also a major investor. In recent years alone, the factory has seen over 40 million lei in total investments. The Orhei tobacco factory provides well-paid jobs and decent working conditions for 80 employees. One of them, Lilian Vultur, shares in a video the opportunities the company has offered him. The video also highlights the enterprise’s important socio-economic role, which it fulfills largely through its partnerships, supporting the tobacco production sector.

A key contributor to the rise of International Tobacco SRL is its partner company — Prologistic-Com SRL. Founded in 2013, it has become one of the leading distributors of domestic producers. Prologistic-Com SRL covers 95% of Moldova’s territory and manages a portfolio of over 4,900 physical sales points. The company employs 90 people, and that number continues to grow.

Another strategic partner of International Tobacco SRL is AGOS Green — Moldova’s largest national producer. Currently, AGOS Green provides jobs for 135 people, and over the past four years, it has paid around 6 million lei in taxes, of which 4.8 million lei came from salary-related contributions.

With such partners, International Tobacco SRL continues to grow and achieve new milestones. The company’s leadership has ambitious plans for the future and looks ahead with optimism. Beyond its development goals, the enterprise is aware of the country’s needs. Moldova now more than ever requires strong companies that contribute to national development and support the state budget through taxes and duties.
