Maib supports the "Moldova for Education" initiative, contributing to the development of a comprehensive financial education program

Maib reiterates its commitment to supporting and promoting financial education in the Republic of Moldova. During Education Week, an event held for the first time by the Ministry of Education and Research under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, the bank announced that it will invest 2 000 000 MDL for the development of an ambitious financial education program in our country. Thus, maib is strengthening its position as an institution that acts responsibly, being a driver and inspiring change for the community's betterment.

Giorgi Shagidze,CEO of maib:

"Maib expresses its support for education through numerous initiatives: technical equipping of educational institutions in the country through the maib edu program, organising financial education lessons on the bank's premises, maib internship programs, dual education, and many others.
We are happy to be part of modernising the educational system in the Republic of Moldova and aligning it with the best practices in the European education space."

Every year, maib's trainers develop various educational programs that they deliver to bank employees and interested people, aiming to develop professional and personal skills. Among the most requested courses we mention are Data Analytics, IT, and financial education for children and teenagers, etc
The bank also pilots various partnerships with the largest universities in the country and develops educational programs, engaging through public lectures given by bank professionals and through curricular expertise, runs internship programs and integrates dual education students into the real work environment.

Svetlana Bodaci, HR Director at maib:

"Education, particularly financial education from an early age, lays the foundation for healthy skills and behaviours supporting future adults. It is precisely for this reason that maib has joined the "Moldova for Education" initiative, investing in financial education in our country and contributing on a large scale to prepare the next generations to make smart decisions, develop entrepreneurial skills while still at school and be better prepared for life. I am convinced that our involvement both financially and through our expertise and proposed activities will add value to the education system and the community overall."

By holding Education Week, the organisers aimed to encourage the educational, social and business environment to support improving the quality of education in Moldova.
