The third tranche of the maib donation for Ukrainian refugees

The third tranche of the maib donation for Ukrainian refugees

As previously announced, maib is increasing its efforts to support Ukrainian citizens who have taken refuge in our country. From the donation estimated at about 10 million MDL to be transferred in 2022, the bank has already transferred to the special fund opened by the Government three tranches in the total amount of 2,383,480 lei.
The first tranche of 1,522,809 lei, accrued on the basis of February transactions and full monthly salaries of members of the Bank's Board and Chairman, as well as donations from members of the Management Board, was transferred in March to the account dedicated to support the Ukrainian people.
The second tranche of the donation of 392,725 lei, based on the March transactions of the bank's clients, was transferred in April to the refugee support fund. In addition, another 251,057.36 lei were donated by maib customers and employees to the special "Help Ukraine" account through maibank and self-service terminals.
In May, maib transfers the third tranche in the amount of 467 946 MDL, accrued from the transactions carried out in April.
We remind you that on a monthly basis, maib donates a fixed amount for each transaction made with a debit or credit card issued by the bank via POS terminal and E-commerce payment. Maib cardholders who want to support this initiative are encouraged to use the cards as often as possible to increase the amount donated to the refugee support fund.
We stand by the Ukrainian people!
