Mobile units of the Customs Service seized more than 5,000 packs of cigarettes without documentation of origin

According to the agency’s press service, based on intelligence reports, customs officers stopped a Dacia Duster near Comrat that was being driven by a 34-year-old Moldovan citizen. During an inspection of the vehicle’s interior and trunk, boxes containing 100,200 cigarettes were discovered without proof of origin or accompanying documentation. The tobacco products and the vehicle have been seized and are subject to confiscation.
