Border police will process trucks at the Costești-Stânca customs post
According to the Customs Service, an interim meeting was held at the Costesti-Stânca customs post to monitor a pilot project involving the delegation of certain powers from the Customs Service to the Moldovan Border Police regarding the processing of trucks with or without cargo. The event was attended by the leadership of the Northern Customs Office, representatives of the central office of the Customs Service, and the General Inspectorate of the Border Police. The main focus was on analyzing the results of the first six months of the project’s implementation. The parties also assessed the condition of the equipment and the practices for its use, including authentication in the Border Police information system and the registration of vehicles and drivers in the system. The results of this interim phase will help refine operational mechanisms and strengthen a modern, effective, and predictable control model so that a final evaluation of the project can be conducted after the initially planned 12-month period. After testing and refining all processes, the possibility of extending this experience to other customs posts will be explored. // 30.04.2026 — InfoMarket
