The elaboration of a new electronic signature format for legal entities is to be completed by the end of this year.
Olga Tumuruc, Director of the Electronic Governance Agency, spoke about this at the first meeting of the press club on digitization. She noted that the authorities want to simplify both the receipt of an electronic signature and its use. In turn, Deputy Prime Minister for Digitization Iurie Turcanu noted that at the same time, it is necessary to instill in citizens a culture of protecting their own data. He also stressed that an electronic signature should not be a commercial product for citizens. He also said that it is planned to open a complaints department on electronic transactions. In addition, Iuri Turcanu drew attention to the fact that over the past 10 years, the digitization of the central and local state structures of Moldova has reached a new level, while a lot of work remains to be done. In particular, as previously reported, the government's action plan for digitization includes: simplifying the interaction of business with government agencies by reducing the administrative burden; data exchange between institutions without direct involvement of entrepreneurs; online business registration; simplification and unification of reporting, since many data are duplicated today; creating an enabling environment for electronic commerce; introduction of a public delivery service (MDelivery) and access to it by the private sector; launch of a new version of the portal of public services. It is planned to approve the first package of legislative changes aimed at digitizing the economy by the end of this year. The next year, the National Digital Development Strategy for 2023-2030 will be developed; it is planned to create a Fund for Support of Digital Innovations and Startups. By the fall of the next year, a second package for digitizing the economy will be prepared; it will be aimed at stimulating electronic payments and approving legislation in the field of electronic commerce. Separate measures are envisaged to develop the potential of Moldova IT Park. It is assumed that they will increase revenues in the field of IT services by 10%, increase the export of products and services of the industry by 20%, and increase the number of residents of the IT Park and its employees by 10%. // 14.09.2021 – InfoMarket
