The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) mentioned that, traditionally, most of the goods were imported by road transport - 75.6% of the total. Sea transport accounted for 7.3% of the total imports, rail transport - 4.9%, air transport - 1.6%, self-propelled imports - 0.6%, postal shipments - 0.1% and fixed transport units (gas pipelines, electric grids) - 9.9% of the total imports. In particular, the volume of import of products from the EU countries to Moldova in the first 11 months of 2022, as compared to the same period of 2021, increased by 36.3% to $3 billion 890.5 million, The import of goods from other states increased by 26.4% to $2 billion 396.8 million. The share of EU countries in the total volume of Moldovan imports increased from 44.45% to 46.61%, the share of CIS countries decreased from 26.03% to 24.67% and the share of other states decreased from 29.52% to 28.72%. At the same time, imports to Moldova from Belarus (-32.3%), Austria (-16.9%), Vietnam (-22.4%), Argentina (-59.8%) and Italy (-2.1%) decreased.
