The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported that, in particular, Moldova's trade deficit in May 2022 was $356.5 million, $18 million (4.8%) less than the previous month, and $5.2 million (1.4%) less than the previous year's May. Overall, in 5 months of 2022, compared to the same period of 2021, Moldova’s trade balance deficit with EU countries decreased by 26.5% - to $401.2 million, with CIS countries - increased 1.6 times - to $718.3 million and with other countries - decreased by 0.1% - to $586.3 million.
