Non-household consumers with increased gas consumption in the production process will receive compensation for January-March 2022.

Non-household consumers with increased gas consumption in the production process will receive compensation for January-March 2022.

According to the decision of the Commission on Emergency Situations, the compensation will amount to 100% of the difference resulting from the increase of regulated prices for natural gas supply, but not more than 1.5 million lei per consumer. From the compensated sum will be excluded the compensation for the first 500 cubic meters consumed per month, for which the compensation was made in accordance with the Commission's Order No. 3 of February 1. Compensation will be offered to non-household consumers who purchase natural gas from suppliers, operate in certain areas and whose payments for the natural gas (excluding VAT) consumed monthly amount to at least 5% of sales in the respective month. Compensation is available, in particular, to producers in the following areas: cultivation of vegetables and melons, root and tuber crops; breeding of pigs and poultry; processing and canning of fruits and vegetables; production of dairy products and cheese; production of flour products, starch and starch products; baking of bread; production of fresh cakes and confectionery; production of pasta, noodles, couscous and other similar flour products; production of animal feed; production of carpets and rugs; production of clothing, except furs; production of knitted and crocheted clothing; leather tanning and dressing; production of travel and leather goods and harness; preparation and dyeing of fur; production of footwear; production of glass and glass products; production of building materials made of clay. In order to receive compensation for non-household consumers with increased consumption of natural gas in the production process must apply by April 25 through a special section on the portal www.servicii.fisc.md. The Center for Information Technology in Finance will transmit the received applications to the Ministry of Economy for verification of their eligibility for compensation. The Ministry of Economy will pass the list of compensation beneficiaries to the natural gas suppliers by April 30.
