From April 21 to 24, AIPA approved applications for subsidies to farmers totaling 77.85 million lei, compared to 31.19 million lei the previous week
As reported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture, these funds were approved for disbursement to farmers from the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development in two forms of payment. Specifically, 58.38 million lei was earmarked for post-investment subsidies for 45 beneficiaries. The majority of the approved amount was allocated to support investments in production, processing, and sales infrastructure in the crop production sector (15.98 million lei); support for investments in livestock farms (14.07 million lei); and support for investments in production, processing, and sales infrastructure in the livestock sector (11.8 million lei). At the same time, 19.47 million lei were approved for payment as an advance payment for the first tranche for 22 applications submitted in 2025 (18.41 million lei) and the second (final) tranche for 5 applications submitted in 2024 (1.06 million lei). Most of the applications (26 out of 27) approved for payment concerned subsidies for the modernization of livestock farms. As previously reported, AIPA approved applications for subsidies worth 597.14 million lei in January 2026, 158.79 million lei in February, and 166.07 million lei in March. In total, AIPA approved 922 million lei for payments in the first quarter of this year (40% of the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development for 2026).
