
Moldova, as part of its participation in the 44th FAO Conference in Rome, is discussing reducing vulnerability to climate change and strengthening cooperation to support the transformation of the agri-food sector
The Ministry of Agriculture announced this, noting that the 44th session of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Conference is being held in Rome from June 28 to July 4, timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the organization's founding. Moldova is represented at the forum by Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry Ina Butucel, who is participating in the conference sessions, including debates on the state of agriculture and food at the global level, as well as events dedicated to the transformation of agri-food systems. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Moldova's presence at this forum is an opportunity to promote national priorities in agriculture, with a particular focus on: compliance with European standards and policies, stimulating innovation in rural areas, reducing the vulnerability of agricultural producers to climate change, and strengthening international cooperation to support the sustainable transformation of the agri-food sector.
