Director of the National Bureau of Vine and Wine of Moldova Stefan Iamandi has been elected Deputy Chairman of the Expert Group "Spirits from Grape and Wine" (BOISPI) within the International Organization of Vine and Wine

As noted in the NBVW press release, he will represent Moldova in the International Organization of Vine and Wine and play a key role in the said international council. This appointment strengthens Moldova's contribution to the development of international standards for spirits of wine origin. The purpose of the "Spirits from Grape and Wine" group is to update the OIV standards for the labeling of spirits, develop an expert document on their aging, determine the alcohol fractions formed as a result of wine dealcoholization, and determine liqueurs of wine origin. Moldova is among the top 5 largest world exporters of wine distillates, which confirms its demand on the international market.
