Small and medium-sized enterprises will have access to state support programs through a “single window” mechanism

This is provided for by the government-approved Regulation on the procedure for developing, implementing, and monitoring support instruments for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Regulation introduces a unified, simplified, and entrepreneur-oriented mechanism — a “single window” — through which access to state support will be provided on the basis of a unified business plan and clear procedures. "SMEs are the backbone of the economy: more than 99% of companies registered in Moldova are micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. Until now, support has been provided through separate programs, with varying bureaucracy and procedures. Thanks to the new regulation, we are introducing a single system focused on entrepreneurs, simplifying and expanding access to financing," said Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Doina Nistor. The Regulation will be implemented by the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), which over the past four years has strengthened its role as the main partner of entrepreneurs in Moldova. The results achieved during this period confirm the effectiveness of state support. To date, ODA has supported more than 2,200 projects with grants totaling 917 million lei, which have attracted investments of 2.1 billion lei and created thousands of jobs. About 1,200 applications were approved under the “373” program, with investments totaling 5.3 billion lei. More than 2,000 credit guarantees were also provided, covering projects worth 6.6 billion lei. In total, more than 14 billion lei of investments were attracted to the economy. The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization notes that the new provision aligns the national policy of support for SMEs with the European principles of the Small Business Act for Europe and represents a strategic step towards modernizing and optimizing the support provided to entrepreneurs in the country. // 17.09.2025 — InfoMarket.
