
The authorized capital of the state enterprise "Railway of Moldova" will be increased by 363 million 158.3 thousand lei (the equivalent of 16 million 962.1 thousand euros)
The corresponding decision was approved by the Moldovan government at a meeting on Wednesday at the initiative of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development. The increase in the authorized capital of the State Enterprise "Railway of Moldova" will be made at the expense of the loan provided by the European Investment Bank. In particular, the money will be allocated by the Ministry of Finance from the funds of the EIB loan received under the Project for the Purchase of Locomotives and Restructuring of the Railway Infrastructure and is intended to pay for the restoration of the Bender-Causeni--Basarabeasca - Etulia -Giurgiulesti railway section. According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Public Property Agency, as a founder, will increase the authorized capital of the state enterprise "Railway of Moldova" by 363 million 158.3 thousand lei and make appropriate changes to its charter in the prescribed manner. Work on the restoration of the railway section of Bender-Causeni--Basarabeasca - Etulia -Giurgiulesti was started on September 12, 2022. According to the general terms of the contract concluded with the contractor, the Temirzhol Zhondeu company from Kazakhstan, it presented invoices for the supply of materials and work. The Law on the State Budget for 2023 explicitly provides for the allocation of financial resources to increase the authorized capital of the State Enterprise "Railway of Moldova" in the amount of up to 363 million 158.3 thousand lei (the equivalent of 16 million 962.1 thousand euros). Therefore, additional expenditures from the state budget will not be required. The Bender-Causeni--Basarabeasca - Etulia -Giurgiulesti section with a length of 233 km will provide railway communication between 7 districts and create favorable conditions for citizens to travel in safe and environmentally friendly transport, as well as for the transportation of goods.// 06.09.2023 — InfoMarket
