In the first quarter of 2026, Moldova reduced its electricity imports from Romania by 0.5%, compared to the same period in 2025, to 721.1 GWh
At the same time, compared to the fourth quarter of 2025, their volumes decreased by 16.1%. This follows from data published by the National Agency for Energy Regulation. Specifically, in the first quarter of 2025, Moldova imported electricity from Romania to 724.8 GWh, and in the fourth quarter of 2025, to 859.9 GWh.
