Energy modernization of apartment buildings in Chisinau and Balti continues under the state-run FEERM program
According to the government, the following measures are being implemented to improve the energy efficiency of buildings: insulation of external walls; thermal insulation of basements and foundations; replacement of windows and doors in common areas; and modernization of other structural elements that impact energy consumption. These measures will reduce heat loss, improve resident comfort, and lower utility costs. The FEERM program covers up to 70% of the cost of the work through a grant, with the remaining 30% coming from resident contributions. Additional assistance is available for energy-sensitive households—up to 90% of their own contribution. Homeowners' associations interested in participating in the program can review the application requirements on the National Center for Sustainable Energy website. // 23.06.2026 — InfoMarket.
