553 applications for funding were submitted in Moldova on the first day of the second round of the Casa Verde (Green House) funding program, launched on March 18

The Ministry of Energy and the National Center for Sustainable Energy reported this, noting the high interest among families in the Casa Verde program demonstrated on the first day of the second round. Of these, 255 applications came from Chisinau Municipality, accounting for 85% of the planned beneficiaries in that region, and 298 came from other districts of the country, accounting for 42% of the total number of beneficiaries allocated for settlements outside Chisinau Municipality. On March 18, citizens contacted the “Green Line” 690 times and sent 227 messages via the National Center for Sustainable Energy’s communication platforms. Applications for the Casa Verde program will continue to be accepted until the funding limit of 1,000 beneficiaries is reached, of which 300 will be selected from the municipality of Chisinau and 700 from other administrative-territorial units. Applications are submitted exclusively online via the feerm.md platform, which has been updated to simplify use and allow for a greater number of applications to be processed daily. Under the Casa Verde state program, 50% of the investment cost, up to 200,000 lei, is provided for the energy modernization of housing. Eligible beneficiaries are Moldovan citizens residing in the country who own their own home, have no tax arrears, and have not previously received grants from the National Center for Sustainable Energy for similar investments. Applicants must authenticate themselves on the platform using a digital signature and select a financing product, after which they must complete the application, upload the necessary documents, and select the types of planned work. Applications will be evaluated by relevant specialists at the National Center for Sustainable Energy, and financing applications will be approved by the Financing and Risk Committee, which is an independent collegial body authorized to make financing decisions. Actual work may only begin after receiving official approval notifications via the feerm.md online platform and signing a financing agreement with the National Center for Sustainable Energy. Furthermore, energy rehabilitation work may only be performed by suppliers included in the lists available on the FEERM platform. The beneficiary independently selects a supplier company from these lists based on the desired work. If the beneficiary wishes to enter into a contract for work with another company, they may invite that company to first register in the program. Detailed information on the terms of participation, the list of authorized suppliers, and the steps required to submit an application is available at feerm.md.
