The ANRE Management has approved the regulated entry/exit tariffs for gas transportation services provided by Vestmoldtransgaz.
According to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), following the analysis of the tariff calculation submitted by Vestmoldtransgaz, ANRE determined the regulated input/output tariffs for natural gas transportation services, being guided by the legal provisions in force, as well as by the events that took place in the natural gas sector, in order to ensure the independence of the natural gas transportation operator and the energy security of Moldova. Thus, the following regulated tariffs were approved for natural gas transportation services provided by Vestmoldtransgaz: for the group of entry points into the natural gas transportation network from interconnection with the gas transportation networks of neighboring states – 220.6 lei/1000 m3, which is by 135.6 lei/1000 m3 less than the requested tariff; for the group of exit points from the gas transportation network to the gas transportation networks of interconnected neighboring states – 235.3 lei/1000 m3, which is by 97.2 lei/1000 m3 less than the requested tariff; for the group of exit points from the gas transmission network to the gas distribution networks and/or gas installations of final consumers connected to the gas transmission network - 210.6 lei/1000 m3, which is 162.8 lei/1000 m3 less than the requested tariff. The regulator notes that the regulated tariffs for natural gas transportation services were approved by ANRE in accordance with the legislation in force and reflect in their structure the revenues necessary for the maintenance and reliable operation of all natural gas transportation networks on the territory of Moldova, since, besides the operational costs of its own networks, Vestmoldtransgaz assumed the costs of renting and maintaining the networks managed by Moldovatransgaz. The approved tariffs include, for the first time, cost components that allow for a gradual payback of the investments made in recent years in the natural gas transportation infrastructure, aimed at increasing energy security and sustainability. Thanks to these investments, the citizens of Moldova will be able to be supplied with natural gas flows from all four sides of the world. This fact made it possible to diversify natural gas transportation routes, create new transport corridors, reduce the concentration index of import sources by about 4 times and indirectly ensure the security of energy supply to end consumers. ANRE emphasizes that the approval of tariffs on entry/exit of natural gas transportation services will not have an immediate impact on the normative prices for natural gas supply. The Agency will analyze, depending on the development of other objective factors, the need to adjust the regulated supply prices and, if necessary, will intervene accordingly. Also during the meeting, the ANRE Management approved the Methodology for the calculation, approval and application of regulated tariffs for electricity transmission service, which establishes the principles and methodology for the calculation, review and approval of basic costs and regulated tariffs for electricity transmission service. //27.10.2023 - InfoMarket.
