Some filling stations of Moldova increase retail prices for gasoline, diesel fuel and liquefied gas.
Over the weekend, some filling stations set new prices for petroleum products; they increased by an average of 6-7%. So, the cost of a liter of A95 gasoline increased to 17.12-17.15 lei, a liter of diesel fuel - to 14.45-14.75 lei, liquefied gas - to 10.10 - 10.12 lei. Let us recall that in December 2020, retail prices for gasoline, diesel fuel and liquefied gas increased twice - the prices for gasoline and diesel fuel in December increased by an average of 4.4%, for liquefied gas - by 6.9%. According to the Competition Council, this growth was due to the increase in oil prices on the international market - “in December 2020, Moldova imported fuel 15% more expensive than in the previous month”. At the same time, given the upward trend in world oil prices, as well as the 9% increase in excise taxes on oil products in Moldova, provided for by the tax and customs policy for 2021, the Competition Council warned of further growth in prices for gasoline, diesel fuel and liquefied gas. // 18.01.2021 - InfoMarket.
