250 Moldovan companies will receive assistance to develop their exports as part of the newly launched “Export Accelerator” program (Acceleratorul pentru Export)

This program, designed for small and medium-sized enterprises seeking to develop their export potential and expand their presence in international markets, was launched by the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) in partnership with the World Bank Group and with the support of the Moldovan government. As part of this initiative, 250 companies from Moldova will receive specialized assistance in developing export strategies and preparing to enter competitive foreign markets. ODA Director Vadim Codreanu noted that export development is key to enhancing the competitiveness of Moldova’s economy and integrating our companies into international value chains. “Through the “Export Accelerator” program, we provide entrepreneurs with the tools, expert support, and necessary knowledge to adapt their products and business processes to the requirements of foreign markets, while simultaneously fostering the development of a national support ecosystem that will ensure sustainable results in the long term,” he said. As Aureliu Casian, Executive Director of the Competitiveness Enhancement Project Implementation Group, emphasized, the “Export Accelerator” program complements initiatives previously implemented with support from the World Bank and ODA. It is aimed at both companies that are already exporting and seeking to enter new markets or segments, and at enterprises that have reached a certain level of maturity and are ready to grow through exports. Participation does not require companies to allocate financial resources—what is needed is time, openness, and a willingness to collaborate with the program’s consultants. The program’s implementation methodology is tailored to the practical needs of companies and aims to provide answers to the questions exporters face when preparing to enter foreign markets. “Our team consists of specialists with experience in the business environment, so we have a deep understanding of the challenges exporters face. This program will help companies get practical answers to key questions: Are we ready to export? What are we missing? What needs to be improved and how? Who is our customer? Which markets and channels are a priority? How should we set prices? How should we promote our products? How can we increase sales? What expertise do we need, and where can we find funding for growth? “Thanks to this comprehensive approach, even novice exporters will have a clear, step-by-step action plan and a well-structured work plan by the end of the program,” said Tatiana Burca, Export Program Coordinator at the Moldovan consulting company Export Agency, which is implementing the program. It is expected that, through knowledge transfer and the creation of a network of local experts in export development, the program will contribute to the long-term strengthening of the national ecosystem supporting business internationalization and to enhancing the competitiveness of Moldovan companies in foreign markets. Interested companies can apply to participate in the program by filling out the corresponding registration form. // 22.06.2026 – InfoMarket.
