33 localities in Moldova will receive a total of 10 million lei in funding from the state budget in 2026 for development and infrastructure projects under the DAR 1+3 program
The government adopted the relevant decision, approving the list of projects to be funded from the state budget this year under the “Diaspora Succeeds at Home (DAR 1+3)” program. The DAR 1+3 program is a mechanism for cooperation between the government, local authorities, the diaspora, and development partners, through which financial resources are mobilized to implement projects of public interest. The government’s contribution to each project is up to 350,000 lei, while local authorities and the diaspora contribute at least 10% of the total project cost. The projects selected for funding are aimed at modernizing and developing local infrastructure, expanding street lighting systems, implementing energy efficiency measures, purchasing equipment, renovating educational and cultural institutions, and developing water supply and sewerage networks. Thus, the water supply infrastructure in the Gangura commune will be modernized; photovoltaic systems will be installed in the villages of Carbuna and Capaclia to ensure the sustainable operation of artesian wells; and a biomass boiler room will be built for the gymnasium in the village of Jamen. In addition, solar panels will be installed on the roof of the “Prichindel” kindergarten in Sipoteni, and local roads and access roads will be repaired in the villages of Filipeni, Darcauti, Prepelita, and Vadul-lui-Isac. Other projects aim to improve public spaces and accessibility, including the construction of a safe access road to the House of Culture in the village of Pelinia, the renovation of the rural library in the village of Puhoi, and the construction of a mini-soccer field in the village of Cioara. The DAR 1+3 program is implemented through the Bureau for Diaspora Relations and aims to strengthen cooperation between the government and the diaspora, providing local authorities with the opportunity to implement development projects in partnership with diaspora associations, local associations, and initiative groups of citizens living abroad or who have returned to Moldova. // 12.06.2026 — InfoMarket
