Moldova is interested in attracting new Greek investments and expanding cooperation with Greece in the fields of energy, infrastructure, transport, and logistics
This was discussed during a meeting between Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Eugen Osmochescu and a Greek delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Haris Theoharis. The delegation included representatives of major Greek companies in the energy, infrastructure, and construction sectors. Other colleagues from the Moldovan government and representatives of relevant institutions and enterprises in the target sectors took part in the discussions to identify specific areas of cooperation. The parties discussed issues related to infrastructure, transport, and logistics, and emphasized their shared interest in attracting investment and utilizing the experience of Greek companies in strategic projects. Moldova and Greece agreed to intensify bilateral dialogue, which has real economic significance for both countries. According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, in 2025, Greece ranked 16th among Moldova's largest trading partners. There are 77 enterprises with Greek capital operating in our country, with a total investment of 16.7 million lei. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, Moldovan exports to Greece in 2025 amounted to $81.5 million, up 22.7% compared to the previous year, while Greek imports to Moldova increased by 14.9% to $77.1 million.
